Revisor’s Note
This is three days of the journal of Crumb Dingle-Dongle LVIII’s journey for a missing potion bottle. Crumb is an 11 year old Goblin (11 years old for a Goblin is like being 21, so Crumb is of legal drinking age for a Goblin). He is a surface Goblin and has lime green skin, big triangular ears sticking out the side of his head, and had three hairs on his hair. Crumb has a pet rock crawler, a gray lizard-like species with spikes on its back named Pebble. Crumb works for a potion selling company and was hired to retrieve a potion bottle. Due to not being a Goblin scribe Crumb makes many mistakes in grammar and spelling (But he is slightly above average for Goblin intelligence).
Day 1
I woke very early when the sun just reached over the rooftops. When I went outside the big light in the sky made me feel nice and cozy. I was very excited, for today I would start my hunt for a lost potion bottle.
When I got to the stand the potion master Bulgus instructed (that’s a word my wizard friend told me, I'm very proud), “Crumb, here is a map, use it to find your way through the mountain.” I then went back inside my room in my hut. I grabbed my backpack and began to collect some things.
I then went back downstairs and scooped up Pebble and went on my way.
I went out my back door to a small dock on the nearby river. I begun to row down the stream and saw biiiiiig trees and little birds flew around. The water pushed my boat a bit so I didn’t work much. The wind gave me much calmness. As I settled down and laid in my boat, a big scary thing flew over. My boat then shook from the speed of scary thing and my boat got stuck in some rocks on the shore. I then got out and tried to pull my boat out but it wouldn’t move. Luckily my boat could be pushed out for when I return. I then looked at my map and saw that I was on the right side of the river. As I got my things and Pebble, the big scary thing returned.
It had a bald head and neck with dark black feathers on its body. I took out my dagger and stabbed towards the bird. “Backs, backs or I’ll gut you like-like a plant, used in potions. Yeah I’ll gut you like a plant!” I yelled with some stabbies at the bird. The bird then squealed at me and I charged at it. The Bird then ran off. I then continued into the forest to the mountains far away. When I got to the mountain there were two torn banners on the wall that scared me but I still went in. I felt very scared and I shivered from the stone in the walls. Eventually I found a small alcove and set up camp for the night.
Day 29
I woke up what felt early in the morning. I then had breakfast and fed Pebble. We then began to walk down the tunnel. Eventually we came upon a very tall cave with biiiiiiggg brown spiky things coming from the roof and ground. I then slid down some gravel into the cave. In the middle I saw a small camp with an old fire.
When I got there I saw dead bandits and dried red sauce everywhere. Me’s ten went inside one of tere tents and saw a bag of clear gems I think called dee-a-monds but I don’t think they’re valuable. “You give me your money NOW,” Someone said from behind me.
“No,” I said while digging a shiny, “Ohh what’s dis too.” Then there was a big crunch and the thief was pancaked and red sauce went everywhere. I then dug up a very shiny green rock and plopped it in my mouth. I closed my eyes and could feel the taste of the rock. I would describe it as very dirt tasting. But as I swallowed rock I heard big stomps.
“Ha! That would be fun. We should go to the town and get more snacks,” A big voice echoed through the spikes.
“No, Gorluk we must wait, they have too strong machines,” another sneeved.
“Fine,” the Gorluk guy said. I then heard a big sniff.
“Wait, I smell GOBLIN,” the other one said. Then biiiiiig trolls came out around a spike.
“Wan some red sauce,” I asked
“Yeah sure,” The sneeving one sneeved, “We’ll take yours.”
“Okie,” I said, “Ear you go.” I handed them a bottle of the red sauce. But the big one slapped it away.
“Come HERE.” The Gorluk guy leaped at me but I leaped out of the way. I then tried to climb up a spike but it was too steep and I couldn’t get a good foot hold. The Sneeving one grabbed me by the back of me’s shirt.
“Hey don’t stretch my shirt.” I was squirming in his big, old egg, smelling hands. He then opened his big mouth and the smell of dead fish baking in the sun for a week came from his mouth.
“Agh!” The sneeving troll screamed and I looked down seeing Pebble standing there very proud.
“I’ll help you!” The Gorluk troll said charging but he knocked over the Sneeving troll and freed me.
“Gorluk STOOOP!” the Sneeving one yelled as they broke a spike and it fell. As the big spike fell onto the ground. The weight of the trolls and the spike made the ground collapse into a big pit. As I landed into the pit my vision got blurry and I fell asleep.
Day 30
I woke up with a bad pain in my head. As I got up I saw that the Trolls got crushed by the rocks. Pebble was licking my face, so we went down a new tunnel I saw. The air began to smell of old eggs and the rock went from gray to red. Eventually I saw some light coming from a nearby cave. We snuck up to the cave entrance and peeked in. In the middle of the room there was a very large pit of glowing orange juice. I spied the Lost Potion Bottle. I ran into the room towards the potions bottle. It sat on the skeleton of a dwarf with a pickaxe and an axe.
“WHO DARES ENTER MY DOMAIN!” someone boomed into the room. When I turned towards the voice a large fiery figure with smoke burning off of it and it had two horns of smoke and black rocks loomed in the glow of fire.
“Um, me’s just want this bottle,” I claimed, not scared at all.
“IF YOU WISH TO TAKE THAT BOTTLE THEN YOU WILL BE CURSED. YOU SHALL LIVE AS EVERYONE YOU KNOW DIES. YOU WILL SEE THE END OF TIME. AND YOU WILL NEVER FIND REST! Wait where are you going.” I ran away grabbing Pebble on my way. “SERVENTS BRING HIM TO ME!” The fiery being commanded down the tunnel. As I was getting away, flaming skeletons started chasing me. Eventually I found a waterfall that goes into the river near my house.
“Ha! You have nowhere to run,” A flaming skeleton with a scratchy voice.
“Do you need something to drink?” I asked.
“Oh yes I do.” I handed him some water and he drank it. “Okay then, for a limited time only you can join my master and work for all eternity.”
“Eh, me’s good.” I then jumped out to the far away river yelling, “CANNON BALL.” As I splashed into the water I felt very cool after being around glowing orange juice and fire. I swam to the shore and found my boat.
After rowing home I unpacked my things and went to the potion master. “Ear you go Bulgus.”
“Good work Crumb. Here is your gold and I think you deserve the promotion of head bottle collector,” he said.
“Tank you, Tank you,” I said shaking his hand so hard he was tossed about
The End.
Then I heard a crash from downstairs and I dropped my stuff and ran downstairs. I then heard the noise coming from the cabinets. I then opened the cabinet and saw my pet Rock Crawler named Pebble. In his spiky gray self he knocked over another glass. I then tried to grab him but he leaped off and ran his stubby lizard self away. I then chased after him and yelled, “Pebbles if you don’t come here, the-then no chicken for breakfast!” Pebbles then ran over and gave me the eyes so I gave him chicken and continued to pack.
